Play It Again.
A play with music.
Former Aussie singing sensation Angela Duncan is quietly content with living the quiet life, until she meets up-and-coming rock-n-roller, Kyle Harrison.
When their worlds collide by a twist of fate, the generational gap is examined and the unlikely pair unearth a vastly different set of perceptions around music, industry, technology, ambition and heartbreak, while also discovering that their perceptions of life are fuelled by incredibly different lived experiences.
A dynamic and captivating two-hander starring much lauded Australian actor Amanda Muggleton (Maria Callas, Masterclass) and Connor Morel (The Wedding Singer, Rent), Play It Again firmly places us in 70-year-old Angela’s world and pairs her with a character that embodies everything she isn’t. Driven by a mature female voice juxtaposed against an idealistic male perspective, Play it Again is an engaging and powerful new work exploring the complex ebbs and flows of the human experience.
