MUSIC THEATRE MASTERCLASS WITH AMY LEHPAMER

MUSIC THEATRE MASTERCLASS
WITH AMY LEHPAMER
2PM - 5PM, MARCH 31

Perfect your audition technique.

Nail that performance.

This workshop, led by musical theatre leading lady Amy Lehpamer, will explore the techniques professional performers use to prepare for auditions and concert performances.

Auditions are difficult! Concerts can be terrifying! We are asked to present a whole world of ideas without the context of a show, to show our complete skill set, all in less than a few minutes. One song can be an incredible expression of your range of abilities, and with the right preparation, you can ensure success time after time.

This workshop will explore:
- Song choice

- Physicality
- Vocal technique
- Storytelling
- How to be your own director
- What to do about nerves

Each participant is asked to come prepared with three songs that show them in their best light. We ask that you take time to make sure that your sheet music is clearly printed for our accompanist to sight-read. We will pick one or two songs to break down and discuss, working toward a mock audition process at the end of the session. The atmosphere will be relaxed and light. The idea is to demystify the audition process and make it as pleasurable as possible!
